How Much Are Disneyland Tickets? [2025]

For many families, a trip to Disneyland or Walt Disney World is a bucket-list adventure and worth every penny you've saved up for it. However, planning your trip's accommodations usually revolves around how much Disneyland tickets are.

The park employs a variable pricing system, so ticket prices can vary depending on your chosen dates. You'll also need to consider whether it's worth purchasing multi-day tickets, park hoppers and including the Genie+ add-on.

To simplify the planning process, we've gathered ticket information to help you plan your magical trip to Disneyland. Once you understand the Disneyland ticket cost, check out AAA Tickets for ticket discounts.

Note: Disneyland ticket prices are current as of January 2025 and are subject to change.

2024 One-Day Ticket Prices

The park implements a tier system for its one-day tickets. These tiers are designed to adjust ticket prices based on the expected traffic for a particular day. Summer months and other peak periods typically have higher ticket prices, while less busy days are priced lower.

One-day tickets also grant single-day admission on any date within the selected tier or any date in a lower tier.

Disney Special Event Tickets

Ticket prices: Starting at $149

Disneyland holds several after-hour events throughout the year called 'Disney After Dark.' These are select nights filled with unique festivities, attractions and entertainment. The event tickets typically include admission to the park a few hours before the event starts, allowing you to enjoy a few rides before the evening magic begins!

Disney Genie+ and Lightning Lane Prices

Genie + pricing: Starts at $32 per ticket per day

Lightning Lane pricing: Prices vary by date and attraction

Genie+ and Lightening Lane aren’t tickets but ticket add-ons that can make your experience at Disneyland even better. With Genie+, you can reserve your place in line at select attractions one at a time. There are a bunch of attractions that use Genie+ at both parks, which is great for those with park hopper tickets.

For more high-demand attractions, you can purchase Lighting Lane entrances individually once you’re in the park for up to two a day. For these, you don’t have to have the Genie+ add-on.

How To Save Money on Disneyland Tickets

The most expensive Disneyland tickets can exceed $206 for peak seasons and weekends. Therefore, securing a deal on tickets is a great way to save money and put it towards something meaningful on the trip, such as new Mickey headbands for the entire family. While you may come across numerous "deals" online, taking the proper precautions to avoid purchasing counterfeit tickets is important.

Five ways to save on Disneyland tickets with small illustrations

Below are a few ways to save on your Disneyland tickets.

1. Consider Multi-Day Passes

Multi-day tickets often offer significant savings compared to buying daily passes. For example, the price per day for a two-day ticket costs $165 per day, but a five-day ticket will cost $103 per day, saving you $62 a ticket.

2. Purchase Magic Key Annual Passes

Do you live in California, Southern California or enjoy spending your family vacations at Disneyland? An annual pass can save you money in the long run, especially if you plan on visiting multiple times throughout the year.

There are different tiers of Magic Key passes offering varying levels of access and blackout dates, so be sure to choose the 'just right' passes for you and your family.

3. Be Flexible With Your Travel Dates

Disneyland pricing varies by date, so you can save by avoiding booking your visit during the most popular dates. These periods typically coincide with US school holidays, seasonal breaks and weekends versus weekdays.

Generally, these are the cheapest times to visit Disneyland:

  • Mid-January to February
  • Early September after Labor Day, right around when kids are going back to school
  • Mid-September to mid-November
  • Weekdays in October through early December

However, visiting Disneyland is a fantastic summer activity for kids. With the California sunshine and long days, there's plenty of time to explore all the park offers.

4. Take Your Children Before They Turn 3

Disney offers free admission for children under the age of three. This can be a huge savings for families with young children, making a Disneyland trip more affordable. If you have a couple of kids, including one yet to turn three, you can consider taking your family to Disneyland and save on a ticket. Remember to check for any height restrictions on rides before your visit.

5. Purchase Discounted Disneyland Tickets

Disney only offers discounted tickets for Southern California residents and active or retired military personnel and their families (up to six people, including the service member or spouse).

AAA offers discounted Disneyland tickets. As a AAA member, you can save up to 30% on attraction tickets if you purchase through AAA.

Be cautious when looking for discounted tickets online. Stick to trusted sources like AAA Tickets for your tickets. Look for established websites with real and positive reviews, a professional appearance and clear information about fees and guarantees. If a website is poorly designed and offers tickets at unusually low prices, it's a safe bet it's a scam.
